The number '108' is a sacred number in yoga and holds significance in other philosophies and religions, as well as astronomy and mathematics. It represents wholeness and the connection between the human body and the Universe.

A Sun Salutation (Surya Namaskar) is a sequence of 12 poses (asanas), linked with the breath. They warm-up, strengthen, and stretch the entire body, including many key muscles.

Greet the New Year with the practice of 108 Sun Salutations! The intention is to guide the body and the mind into a moving meditation. The practice is a journey to the inner self that ultimately resets, recharges, and prepares the practitioner for the challenges of the New Year.

Keric and Shannon will lead a warm-up and preparation for the Sun Salutations. The practice will be broken up into segments with small breaks in between each segment, followed by a cool-down, gentle stretches, and savasana. You are invited to do some or all of the 108 Sun Salutations. Please be familiar with Sun Salutation A (Surya Namaskar A). The event will take place in a small studio in Glenda, CA. Space is limited. Not refundable.
